Mexican radio news director found executed in his home
José Emilio Galindo Robles was an award-winning investigative reporter who was the director for Guadalajara University Radio. Galindo went missing, then was discovered by authorities in his apartment in Ciudad Guzmán, with a fractured skull and with his hands tied to a bed. In 2004, Galindo was awarded the Bienal Nacional de Radio (Biennial Radio National) for his reporting on private firms dumping toxic waste in the Santiago River. The death of Galindo is the 57th murder of a journalist in Mexico since 2000.
