Mexico's Grupo Radio reports higher revenue and income
Mexico City-based Grupo Radio Centro reported their 2nd quarter broadcasting revenue increased 10.5% from the same time in 2010. While expenses increased slightly from a year ago, broadcasting income year-over-year soared over 52%, and operating income was up 70%. For the first six months of 2011, Grupo Radio's broadcast revenue jumped 11%, broadcasting income leaped over 72%, and overall operating income for the first six months climbed 130%. Grupo Radio Centro operates 15 radio stations, including 12 in Mexico City, along with two in Monterrey and Guadalajara. It also operates Emmis-owned KXOS-FM in Los Angeles, but it didn't mention the results from "Exitos 93.9."
