Michele Tafoya to give up her daily talkshow on WCCO, Minneapolis (830)
The NFL reporter for NBC television tweets this: “Have just loved the past four years on @WCCORadio and will miss PM drive a lot.” CBS Radio market manager Mick Anselmo tells the Minneapolis Star-Tribune “She just runs out of gas…She’s coming out of 20 consecutive weeks of working seven days a week.” She's also the mother of two small children. WCCO will move current 9am to noon host John Williams to Michele’s current 3-6 slot, with John Hines at least temporarily fielding late mornings. That gives Williams the morning to do show-prep. In addition to creating three hours for WCCO, he also does early afternoons for Tribune’s WGN, Chicago (720), working from a studio in the Windy City. Tafoya will continue to be associated with the station, doing some commercials and fill-in talk shifts. The Minneapolis Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the Tweet and Tafoya, here.
