Missouri stations don't have to run ads for a white supremacist, says FCC

The Missouri Broadcasters Association asked the FCC for a ruling on the question of whether F. Glenn Miller is a legally-qualified Senate candidate whose ads must be accepted and run unedited. The answer: no. The Kansas City Star quotes association attorney Mark Sableman, saying the write-in candidate isn’t a bona fide contender under the political ad rules. Among other things, Miller doesn’t have a campaign committee or regular press releases or an office. His radio spots have drawn protests for attacking Jews and minorities. Missouri State Attorney General Chris Koster joined the protest to the FCC in April. Miller, contacted by the newspaper, says “They don’t like what I say.”
