Moody launches Chicago's first full-time Spanish-language Christian station
Daytimer WMBI (1110) has been featuring Spanish programming on Saturdays, and now Moody Radio says with two million Hispanics in the Chicago area, the time is ripe to do it seven days a week. The service says that "in addition to original Spanish-speaking programming, Radio Moody Chicago will utilize existing ministry partners with Spanish-based teaching, such as Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah, Grace to You with Dr. John MacArthur and Insight for Living with Dr. Chuck Swindoll." As for the existing English-language ministries previously heard on WMBI, Moody says 13 of the 16 are also available on Christian teaching WMBI-FM (90.1). Separately, Moody Radio launched a 24/7 "Urban Praise" radio format on the HD3 channel of WMBI-FM. It also streams at UrbanRadioPraise here. Elsa Mazon is the project manager for Radio Moody programming, and Collin Lambert is the Vice President of Moody Radio.
