More alterations to the WLS Roe Conn Show as Amy Jacobson is jettisoned
There’s more shifting of salaries on Citadel-owned WLS-AM (890) in Chicago. The latest move is to remove former WMAQ-TV reporter Amy Jacobson as the news and weather reporter during afternoon drive from the Roe Conn Show. The Sun-Times says Jacobson will stay with WLS, for now, joining the midday show for weather and traffic duties while co-host Maura Myles is out on maternity leave. Jacobson’s move comes as former WIND-AM (550) host Cisco Cotto joins Conn for afternoons starting with the show being called the Roe & Cisco Show.“ In addition, Conn recently re-signed a new deal to stay with WLS, for a reported $250,000, far below his former deal which was in the area of $1 million.
