More news on the FM dial heading to Chicago

Radio Dial Just 2 weeks ago, there weren't any all-news radio stations on the FM dial in Chicago. Merlin Media changed that with the addition of all-news WWWN-FM (101.1), which was quickly followed by CBS Radio, which began simulcasting WBBM-AM (780) on WCFS-FM (105.9). That was the former AC "Fresh-FM." Now, Chicago Public Radio's WBEZ-FM (91.5) has announced they intend to add more news to their daytime programming, sandwiched between NPR's "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered." Chicago Public Media CEO Tory Malatia says this is a part of a multi-year plan to add more local programming and local news to the station. You can listen to WBEZ-FM here.
