More pieces are falling into place for a sports flip on Washington's WJFK
The latest news comes from the Washington Post, which says Washington, DC’s second all-sports talk station will debut on July 20. The Post reports their preliminary lineup will have “The Junkies,” their current morning show, remaining in morning drive. That will be followed by Mike Wise and Bill Rohland from 10am-2pm. Rohland is a former Baltimore sports talk host who is also the voice of George Mason University basketball. Wise is a sports columnist for the Washington Post. Football star LaVar Arrington will join current WJFK'er Chad Dukes for afternoon drive, pushing out Mike O'Meara, according to the Post. Radio-Info recently reported that the CBS Radio-owned WJFK will be the new radio home for Washington Wizards basketball. The rumored flip is the top talk topic on the Radio-Info Washington-Baltimore board – Discuss it.
