Much-loved NYC jock Ron Lundy passes away

He was reported back in the hospital last week after a series of mini-strokes, and now the former WABC and WCBS-FM personality has died. Lundy came to New York at WABC (770) in 1965 and remained there until it went all-talk in May 1982. From there he joined WCBS-FM (101.1) and played oldies until his retirement in1997. He moved back to Mississippi but eventually lost a lung to cancer. The affection for Ron Lundy is apparent on the New York Board of Radio-Info.com.
