NAB Marconi nominations open up, but only through May 31
The National Association of Broadcasters is soliciting entries for stations or personalities. The stations categories are either in Station of the Year by market size or Station of the Year by format. There is a separate category for Legendary Station, won in 2010 by CBS Radio's news/talk WBZ, Boston (1030). On-air personalities can also be nominated by market size, and there are additional categories for Network/Syndicated Personality and Spanish Format Personality of the Year. Nominations must be made by Tuesday, May 31, with finalists announced in July. The winners are chosen by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy, and will be recognized at the Thursday, September 15 Marconi Dinner and Show at the NAB/RAB Radio Show in Chicago. Check the rules (2010 winners must wait to enter in that same category until 2012, for instance) at the NAB site here.
