NAB's list of 2010 Marconi award finalists is out, led by 5 "legendary stations"
Those are: adult alternative KBCO, Denver. Rock KSHE, St. Louis. Talk KSL-AM/FM, Salt Lake City. News/talk WBZ, Boston. And all-news WTOP, Washington, D.C. There are a 21 categories in all, and the the winners will be announced at this year’s first-ever joint RAB/NAB Radio Show, September 30 in Washington, D.C. Here are the five finalists for “Network/Syndicated Personality”: Premiere’s Bob & Tom. Take On The Day’s Dr. Laura. Premiere’s Steve Harvey. Reach Media’s Tom Joyner. And Citadel Media’s Scott Shannon. Plenty of interesting names and situations in this year’s list of finalists, such as the fact that three of the five “Major Market Personalities of the Year” are from Dallas: KLUV’s Dean and the Morning Team, Dunham, Miller & Keith of “The Ticket” and KVIL’s Gene and Julie.
