Nashville's Skywatch Traffic sues former customer Cumulus
It all happened because of last year’s format change, says the local Skywatch: when Cumulus Media blew up all-sports “Fan” WNFN (106.7) to make room for new CHR “i106”, Skywatch claims the station owner quit running traffic reports. The traffic service had sold spots around those reports, but the station didn’t run them and Skywatch couldn’t get paid by sponsors. The Nashville Post says the suit filed in Davidson County Circuit Court also alleges that once the Skywatch contract expired, Cumulus turned to Westwood-owned Metro as its traffic supplier. Skywatch further claims that in violation of their contract, Cumulus had a “business relationship” with Metro during the term of its relationship with Skywatch.
