New April PPMs: Baseball pays off for many flagships

Baseball generic hitter at the plate Arbitron's just-issued April People Meter results show immediate fan enthusiasm, in the first month of the season. For example:

San Francisco – KNBR (680), the flagship of the reigning World Series champion Giants, jumped from a 2.5 to 4.4, nearly doubling its cume in one month, to about 940,000. (#1 in the market: non-com public radio news/talk KQED, 6.5 to 6.6.)

Philadelphia – Phillies flagship WPHT (1210) improves 2.2 to 3.6, with the cume more than doubling from 400,000 to about 925,000. (#1 this month again: all-news KYW/1060, beating AC "B101" WBEB 7.0-6.9.)
