New Orleans' Bob DelGiorno retires from WWL-AM/FM
Bob DelGiorno, morning man on Talk WWL-AM/FM (870 and 105.3) New Orleans, announced his retirement from the station after 34 years on air. The station plans to replace him with Tommy Tucker, DelGiorno’s frequent fill in host over the past few years, as well as the night jock on the station. In a press release, DelGiorno says, “It’s time to get off the road, to give up the daily responsibility and just enjoy waking up later and enjoying life.” Chris Claus, Vice President and General Manager of Entercom’s cluster of radio stations in the New Orleans, added that DelGiorno is “the voice New Orleans has awakened to for decades and we wish him the very best in his retirement years.” Replacing Tucker in nights will be Scott “Scoot” Paisant.
