New York's WKTU cuts ties with midday DJ Diane Prior
She had been hosting middays on WKTU-FM (103.5) for nearly 14 years until Friday, when she was dropped from the roster after her shift. The WKTU website simply had a gray square where her bio would have been. A call to Clear Channel-owned WKTU confirms “she’s not on the staff list.” Prior made news last year during her highly publicized divorce, when her former husband posted a video entitled “Superdiva Meltdown” on MySpace containing the emotional parts of Prior’s testimony from their divorce proceedings. No replacement for Prior has been named. DJ Bartel was heard handling Prior’s midday shift on Monday.
