New York's WOR (710) replaces Glenn Beck with Mike Gallagher
From this morning's TRI Newsletter: Dallas-based Gallagher will be regularly spending some time at the WOR studios, and this is a nice event for his syndicator Salem Radio Network. Where does that leave current late-morning host Glenn Beck? The substitution at Buckley’s WOR happens on January 17, and you have to wonder if his syndicator Premiere’s got something in the wings. Beck’s been clearing his entire live 9am-noon (Eastern time) show on WOR, but Gallagher will do 10am-noon, with John Gambling getting extra cups of coffee to stay on 'til 10. Beck may have his own news to announce today. One rumor is that his online feed might add a fifth hour, hosted by one or more additional folks. His site does say he’ll come back to the radio show today with something “brand new.” The New York Board here at Radio-Info.com picks up on the Daily News report, where WOR PD Scott Lakefield blames the drop of Beck on ratings.
