New Zealand radio pioneer Tim Bickerstaff found dead by kids in his home
He got his start working for 3DB in Melbourne, Australia before returning home in the 1960’s to Auckland and beginning his New Zealand radio career on Radio 1. Tim Bickerstaff became well known as an outspoken talk host and sports host, spending 40 years behind the microphone. He was also known for being the face and voice of a number of men’s health products. Bickerstaff was found dead by a group of young trick-or-treaters on Halloween in his home. Authorities believe he suffered a massive heart attack. Bickerstaff was 67.
