NFL Atlanta Falcons move radio play-by-play to LFM's "Star 94" and "Zone"
CBS may have the local TV rights for the pre-season games beginning in August, but CBS lost the radio franchise to Lincoln Financial Media, which will install the Falcons on both AM and FM. The AM carrier will be all-sports "790 The Zone" WQXI. Hot AC "Star 94" WSTR will carry the games on FM. All 20 Falcons games and post-game coverage will run on both The Zone and Star, while the all-sports AM station will add a pre-game show. Familiar Falcons voices Wes Durham (play by play) and Dave Archer (a former Falcons QB) will move over from the previous radio flagship. That was adult alternative "Dave" WZGC (92.9).
