Norman Goldman gains eight new affiliates, thanks to the demise of Air America
Since last week’s announcement of Air America ceasing operations and filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Compass Media Networks-distributed Goldman has gained eight new affiliates. Chicago’s WCPT-AM/FM (820/92.7), Boston’s WWZN-AM (1510), San Francisco’s KKGN-AM (960) and Portland’s KPOJ-AM (620) were just added. So were Reno, Nevada’s KJFK-AM (1230), Madison, Wisconsin’s WXXM-FM (92.1) and WNYY-AM (1470) in Ithaca, New York. Norman Goldman Show adviser Bill Figenshu says Goldman’s “fierce independence is exactly the right position at the right time for today’s progressive audiences.”
