NYC radio pro Maire Mason joins Merlin Media as New York DOS
Mason most recently was VP/Director of Sales for Univision in the New York City market, but her general-market experience includes managing WCBS-FM (101.1), "K-Rock" WXRK (92.3) and WNEW (102.7). She's just been hired by Merlin Media's group EVP of Revenue Greg Janoff, who himself managed for CBS in New York at "1010 WINS." Janoff says "given her strong experience and deep relationships in the New York area, we look forward to Maire joining the team and making an immediate impact." That will be at WRXP/101.9 now being operated and eventually to be acquired by Merlin. The station is currently stunting with an AC format named "New", but is expected to transition to a mostly talk-based format soon. See what the New York Board of Radio-Info.com is saying about Maire Mason, here.
