Oldies out as CC's WLAN-AM Lancaster PA mostly simulcasts talk WHP-AM Harrisburg
Clear Channel has sacrificed its “Cool Oldies” format on WLAN-AM (1390) serving Lancaster, Penn., to simulcast conservative talk sister WHP-AM (580), Harrisburg. Programming on both includes Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and other syndicated yakkers, along with Harrisburg local Bob Durgin. But the stations will be running separate spots. WLAN’s oldies website remains live for now. Your friends on the Radio-Info.com Central Pennsylvania board are wondering how the folks at Cumulus Media’s WSBA-AM York-Harrisburg will react, given its similar conservative talk palette.
