On Chicago's WLS-AM, "Blago" compares his legal woes to a tsunami

Rod Blagojevich Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich along with his wife Patti were the fill-in hosts on Chicago's talk WLS-AM (890) taking the seats of Don Wade and Roma Downey. The outspoken Blagojevich told listeners "I was hijacked from office," and proceeded to compare his legal plight to a tidal wave, saying "Lawmakers wanted to throw me out of office long before I, you know, I had my tsunami happen to me." Later Wednesday afternoon, Blagojevich spokesman Glenn Selig tried to clarify Blago's comments, saying, "He used the word 'tsunami' as a metaphor to describe how the world crashed around him. It would be absurd to suggest the current catastrophe is anything like the events in his life." Blagojevich has been a fill-in radio host since he left the governor's office following corruption charges being brought against him, including allegedly attempting to sell the vacant US Senate seat once held by President Barack Obama. His trial is set to resume in April. You can read more about Blagojevich from the Washington Post here.
