Pandora closes in on 1 million Active Sessions, in Triton Digital monthlies
The October rankers for Internet radio show a large jump for Pandora, from about 885,000 Average Active Sessions in September to 975,564 in October. Another Triton Digital statistic, "Sessions Starts", was relatively flat for Pandora, moving from 343 million to 348.1 million. October is the first month where AOL Radio has moved from the CBS Radio family to Slacker Radio. While Slacker remains at #5 on the list for Active Sessions, it has grown from 37,640 to 48,526. #2, iHeartRadio parent Clear Channel, up from 136,175 Active Sessions to 162,093. That may reflect gains from September's iHeartRadio Music Festival and the big push for downloads. Clear Channel is now ahead of...
- #3 CBS Radio, which dipped slightly from 136,175 to 126,538 in Active Sessions.
- #4 is Cumulus, which for the first time includes the former Citadel stations. It shows with 69,761 Active Sessions and nearly 18.9 million Session Starts.
