Pandora: Double-digit AQH gains in every top 10 metro since September
On the Cume side, Pandora says its Cume reached 1 in 5 (19.9%) of all adults 18-34 in each of the top 10 radio markets. For adults 18-49, the weekly Cume for November (using Arbitron's PPM schedule of October 13 – November 9) topped one million for both New York and Los Angeles. In New York, Pandora says its Average Quarter Hour rating for 18-34s improved from 0.7 in the September period to 0.9 in November. In Los Angeles, the AQH rating grew from 1.0 to 1.2. In Chicago, it rose from 0.8 to 1.0. An AQH rating of 1.0 means that an average 1% of that market's demo (in this case, 18-34s) was listening for at least five minutes during the total broadcast week of 6am to midnight. Two months ago and four months ago, Pandora released AQH estimates for the top 10 radio markets. This is the first time it has also supplied Cume ratings. Read today's Pandora release about its November AQH and cume here. Pandora's data comes from analysis by Edison Research, and it does not include listening to the subscription-based Pandora One service, where users aren't served any commercials.
