Paul Duckworth is the new PD of talker KLIF in Dallas
Radio-Info confirms that Paul Duckworth heads to “Big D” and Cumulus-owned talk station KLIF-AM (570) in Dallas from Washington, DC, where he most recently programmed Citadel’s WMAL-AM (630). Duckworth was cut loose from WMAL in April, during a time of upheaval with the morning show of Andy Parks and Fred Grandy. (Parks was let go, Grandy walked out and came back with the creation of “The Grandy Group.”) Duckworth has programmed news/talkers such as Seattle’s KVI-AM (570) and Portland’s KPAM-AM (860). Duckworth posted on the KLIF website that “I'd like to begin with a painful admission: there’s a whole lot that I DON’T know… but I'm hoping that you can help.” He’s asking listeners to complete an online survey to help him make the conservative talk station better. Duckworth succeeds Steve Nicholl, who Radio-Info previously reported had passed away in early-May.
