Pennsylvania’s WZUM (1590) is sold, again
Katrina Chase buys her second AM in the span of a week. On Tuesday, Taylor on Radio-Info reported Chase acquired silent WLTQ (730) Charleston for $650,000, under the name Faith Broadcasting. Now, we learn she is also purchasing WZUM (1590), licensed to Carnegie, PA, just outside Pittsburgh. The seller is Sovereign City Radio Services, which just bought the station in January of this year. The deal is for $800,000 — $700,000 of which is a tax certificate, $75,000 in a note, and $25,000 down payment. Chase takes over the station under an LMA immediately. WZUM flipped to Southern Gospel as “The Promise” on May 23 of this year. The broker on this deal is Gene Ferry.
