Pittsburgh's "Froggy 98.3" is being sold to contemporary Christian "K-Love"
Radio-Info’s T-R-I Newsletter reported the local speculation last Thursday morning (“Is K-Love eyeing Pittsburgh’s “Froggy 98.3”?) – and late Friday WOGI owner Keymarket confirmed the sale to K-Love parent Educational Media Foundation. Keymarket will continue to operate its western Pennsylvania daisy chain of country "Froggy” stations on three FMs. But Sacramento-based Educational Media Foundation will take over the Duquesne, PA-licensed Class A at 98.3 on Tuesday, September 1. Keymarket confirms 98.3 will “commence K-Love Christian music programming.” The other “Froggy” outlets – 104.3, Moon Township, PA, which is taking the WOGI calls. “Froggy 94.9” WOGG, Oliver, PA. And “Froggy 103.5” WOGH, Burgettstown. To subscribe to the daily Taylor on Radio-Info Newsletter – at no charge – register here. Read the thread on the Pittsburgh Board of Radio-Info here.
