Police make an arrest in the murder of former WBOJ PD Heath Jackson
Police in Columbus, Georgia have been dealing with a string of recent murders. One of the latest unsolved homicides may have now been solved. WBOJ-FM (88.5) “The Truth” PD/DJ Heath Jackson was shot and killed during a daylight robbery when he found a thief in his home on Tuesday. Police then raided the home of a suspect and found items from a number of thefts. Police are piecing together which items came from the crimes. Authorities have charged 21-year old Ricardo Strozier with robbery and murder, alleging that he killed Jackson during the robbery attempt. The 25-year old Jackson was shot in the back. Jackson was a Columbus native, a graduate of Hardaway High School. Both his brother and mother teach in the Columbus school district. You can read more about Jackson’s murder here – Discuss it.
