Portland talker KPAM (860) to add a morning news block
This is the first major move since former Red Zebra Washington, DC PD Dennis Glasgow returned to Portland, Oregon and took the leadership of KPAM-AM. Starting Thursday, Pamplin Media Group's KPAM will debut "First Edition," an all-news block hosted by Tim Hohl & Pat Boyle from 5-7am. Morning drive host Bob Miller, whose show ran from 5am-9am, will remain a four-hour show, bu will now start at 7am. That's followed by Victoria Taft, whose show remains in its 11am-3pm time slot. The casualty will be the syndicated John Gibson, who will be dropped from mornings. The rest of KPAM's lineup, featuring the syndicated Michael Savage 3pm-6pm, Hugh Hewitt 6pm-9pm, as well as the night and overnight lineup, remains intact. You can listen to KPAM here.
