Portland's John Lund heads to San Francisco's "Sportsradio 95.7" KBWF
The well-traveled sports/talk host John Lund will have a new home, starting in August. Lund announced that he's leaving Alpha Broadcasting-owned KXTG-AM (750) "The Game" and traveling south on I-5 to San Francisco, where he will take over middays on Entercom's KBWF-FM (95.7). Jason Barrett, his new PD in San Francisco, says "John is a master at developing local relationships, so you won’t see him hiding behind a microphone. He’ll be out in the community with the players and most importantly, Bay Area fans." Lund has traveled most of the United States on the air, with stops in Detroit on WXYT-AM/FM (1270/97.1), KESN-FM (103.3) in Dallas, WEAE-AM (1250) in Pittsburgh, and KZNS-AM (1280) in Salt Lake City. Lund was also a voice at one time of the Detroit Lions and Dallas Mavericks. Replacing Lund in Portland, Oregon is Dave Smith, heading north on I-5 from Los Angeles, where he held down afternoons on KLAA-AM (830).Previous and Next Stories
