Premiere says Mike McConnell's Saturday show will end soon, and it's searching for a replacement
From today’s TRI Newsletter: Syndicator Premiere tells affiliates that “As reported in the trades, Mike McConnell will be leaving WLW in Cincinnati for WGN in Chicago. Mike will continue to host The Weekend Show for the next several weeks. After that time, The Weekend Show will begin showcasing a variety of top talk hosts in a live, entertaining three hour Saturday Noon to 3PM Eastern Time show.” McConnell has plenty of time to move to the Windy City, since he’s already left WLW and won’t take up his new WGN shift – still unannounced – until August 9.
