Radio "Can't get enough" of Michael Jackson...
Stations like dance CHR WKTU, New York plan to stay all-Michael Jackson for the weekend. CHR “Now 92.3” WXRK asked listeners to remember Jackson by doing their own “Moonwalk” at 5:26, on the 24-hour anniversary of his death – and to upload photos and video to the station website. WBLS, New York brought back former jock Ken “Spider” Webb.“ Dallas AC KVIL and oldies KLUV went all-Jackson for a while – and that pattern’s being repeated by music stations around the country. CBS tells Radio-Info that streaming numbers are up, and not just for its music stations. All-news KFWB, Los Angeles showed a 551% spike in the 7pm hour Thursday evening, compared to the previous day. Classic hits KRTH, Los Angeles saw its noontime traffic today (Friday) up 255%.
