Radio deals in Colorado and North Dakota
Owner William Arnold will get his stations back out of receivership, reversing a deal he did with Track 1 Media in 2004. The stations are: Oldies KSTC (1230) and Country KNNG (104.7), both licensed to Sterling; Hot AC KNEC (100.9) Yuma, CO; and the currently-dark KECK (95.3) Eckley, as well as FM translator K276CX Sidney, NE ... While in Fargo, ND, Guderian Broadcasting sells KEGK "Eagle 106.9" Wahpeton. This is the same station that used to have a JSA set up with Triad Broadcasting, but was challenged by market competitor Jim Ingstad. Now KEGK goes to Scott Hennen's Smahh Communications for $1.97 million. Hennen also owns WZFN (700) licensed to nearby Dilworth, and will begin LMAing "the Eagle" immediately.
