Dallas-based RadioTime, a leading provider of applications for finding and listening to radio online, has bought the TuneIn Internet radio iPhone application, the best-selling and highest rated Internet radio application for the iPhone and iTouch. Ben Alexander, who created the TuneIn Radio app, is hired by RadioTime … Baltimore’s all-news WBAL-AM (1090) unveils their new iPhone app, allowing users to view “the most important news headlines affecting you,” and “send comments to show hosts ” as well as get real-time traffic info. More on the WBAL website here … In England, radio maker Revo will market the Revo AXIS, hailed as the alternative for the Sensia internet radio. Due to launch in October for $307, it will pick up DAB, FM & internet radio through a Wi-Fi connection, and hold 13,000 stations. CNET-UK has a review here … Former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash will get his own artist personal experience “A.P.E.” radio station. “Slash-FM” will debut September 2 and will be carried by Clear Channel Radio’s “iHeartRadio” network.
