Radio One may move its HQ back to the District

ade headlines a decade ago, when Radio One took its corporate staff out of the District of Columbia, where Hughes bought her first radio station in the 1980s, to Prince Georges County and Lanham, MD. That was with the encouragement of some financial incentives, and now the Washington Post says the District is negotiating over a possible $22 million package to lure Radio One back to town as the anchor for a new 330,000-square foot building on top of the Shaw/Howard Metro stop.
