Radio Remembers: 1010 WINS anchor Brad Sherman
He spent over 25 years anchoring the news on New York City’s WINS-AM (1010), with a distinctive style, joining WINS when it switched from rock music to all-news in 1965, until his retirement in 1992. WINS reported on one of their own on Monday, saying Brad Sherman, who had both Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease, had broken his hip in June and was admitted to Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan. Sherman passed away Saturday. He was 83. Listen to more about the passing of Brad Sherman here.
