Clint was the longtime owner of KPAN-AM/FM (860 / 106.3) in Hereford, Texas outside of Amarillo. Dail got his start in the business while in high school on WBTM-AM (1330) in Danville, and during World War II could be heard on KFAR-AM (660) while stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Dail would later join WGH, and was GM for 23 of his 34 years of service there. Under his leadership the AP awarded WGH-AM the Best Radio News Operation in Virginia for 10 consecutive years.
