He was a beloved figure on Mile High City radio and TV: Reggie McDaniel did movie reviews on KOA-AM (850) for a number of years, leaving the news-talk station in 2008. McDaniel was a colorful figure, known at times for his attire, but also for his charity. The Denver Post highlighted a time one winter’s day when he once gave his shoes to a homeless man, and walked to his car in only his socks. McDaniel died of complications from a lung disease. He was 60 … An accident took the life of Mississippi engineer Jerrold “Jerry” Campbell. He was working on the transmitter unit of country station WDMS-FM (100.7) in Greenville when tragedy struck, reports WXVT-TV. Campbell was called to the site to effect repairs after the station’s transmitter failed, and during those repairs he was electrocuted. Campbell was 73.
