She spent many years in Washington, DC working on WAVA when it was all-news, along with WTOP when it was on the AM dial. Clarissa Douglas worked for a number of large news stations, including KRLD-AM, Dallas (1080), as well as Mutual News, United Stations and ABC News in Washington, DC. Pam Coulter, who worked at ABC News with Douglas, wrote on her Facebook page, "She is a model of strength for all of us.
