Radio Remembers: Former KOA, Denver talk host Russ Johnson
A sad story out of Colorado, where it appears former talk show host Russ Johnson took his own life. He was only 40. He spent five years hosting the evening show on KOA-AM (850) through 2004. Johnson, who was battling MS, was also going through a divorce and had been out of work for some time, according to Denver’s Westword newspaper. Johnson was found dead in his suburban Denver home. Funeral services have yet to be announced.
