Radio Remembers: Radio Evangelist Ed Bousman; Arizona's Scott Anderson
His "God is Just a Prayer Away" show has been heard in the Cincinnati area for decades. For about 50 years, Ed Bousman was heard on weekends on WCKY-AM (1530) and later on WLW-AM (700). His show was also heard on stations in the Midwest, including Indiana, Arkansas, Iowa, West Virginia and Kentucky, and was carried on short wave radio to Africa, Europe and Russia. Bousman, who taped his shows at a home studio outside of Cincinnati, has passed away. He was 92. The Radio-Info Cincinnati board is talking about Bousman - Discuss it ... Scott Anderson was a talk show host originally from Chicago who settled in the Arizona desert. He got into ad sales, and that led him behind the microphone where he hosted a TV talk show called "Mesa Talking," which was billed as a radio talk show on television. He also spent three years as the host of the syndicated "Hot Tub Radio Party," and hosted shows on KSYG-FM in Little Rock, Arkansas and KLIF-AM (570) in Dallas. Anderson, who was diagnosed with cancer just nine months ago, has passed away.
