Radio Remembers: Washington, DC's Suzanne Kubota; WNOE's Michael Scurlock

Radio Remembers Suzanne Kubota was the digital content manager for Washington, DC's "Federal News Radio" WFED-AM (1500). She commuted two hours daily from her home in Pennsylvania to the Nation's Capital. She spent her career in radio, working not just for Federal News Radio but also for all-news WTOP-FM (103.5). In her staff bio with WFED, Kubota wrote, "I love being able to show and tell what's good about the federal government and the people in it! I know this beat is boring for some, but it's a never-ending source of delight to me." Kubota passed away following a brief illness. She was just 49. WFED has more about Kubota's passing here ... He did promotions for a number of radio stations, including WNOE-FM (101.1) in New Orleans. Michael Scurlock worked his way across the nation, finally settling in California. Scurlock also worked for a number of record labels. He has just passed away after a battle with cancer, and you can see a tribute page to Scurlock here.
