Radio Remembers: Writer & talk host Osmond Molarsky
He will be forever known as the person who gave novelist James Michener his first paid writing job. Molarsky was a writer of more than a dozen children’s books. He was also a late-night talk show host on San Francisco’s KNEW-AM (910) in the 1960’s. His children’s books were among the first to address inner city life and include black children as major characters, says the Marin Independent Journal. Molarsky passed away in Marin County, California. He was 99.
