Raleigh's rumored all-comedy AM signs on at 570, as "WFNL"
Wednesday afternoon, Curtis Media signed former "Country Legends" WQDR (570) back on following a ten-month off-air period. The new format is all-comedy, using the Dallas-based 24/7 Comedy service. The Raleigh News and Observer reports the new format and also the reason why 570 was forced off the air last April: it was due to a tornado that destroyed the tower. The Curtis Media Group site for the new "Funny 570" is here. On the Raleigh-Greensboro Board of Radio-Info.com, they're talking seriously about comedy, here.Previous and Next Stories
