Roy E. Disney, Walt Disney Company leader and former radio group owner, dies at 79
He was the son of Walt Disney’s invaluable business partner, Roy O. Disney, and he himself was involved with the company for over 55 years. Roy E. Disney was also a partner in the former Burbank-based Shamrock Broadcasting, which owned radio stations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Pittsburgh until it sold out in the mid-1990s wave of consolidation.
