Rush Limbaugh takes aim at Japanese refugees & quake media "exaggeration"

Rush Limbaugh Rush Limbaugh's take on the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear problems in Japan is that the media is "exaggerating" the issue. On his syndicated radio show Wednesday, Limbaugh says he has had "emails from people who are living in Tokyo, saying 'Yeah, we're playing golf today, people are going about their business and living.' The reports are, this country's on the verge of sinking, the whole country, the whole island is on the verge of disappearing ... Remember the BP oil spill, the worst oil spill ever except there wasn't any oil." Limbaugh also mocked those left homeless who were seen recycling in an ABC News report, responding to a caller's question saying "They've given us the Prius. Even now, refugees are recycling their garbage." Here, he began to laugh, continuing, "and yet, Gaia levels them! Just wipes them out" Limbaugh refers to "Gaia," the mythical Greek goddess of the earth, or "Mother Nature." Limbaugh's comments come a day after fellow Premiere Radio Networks syndicated talk host Glenn Beck claimed on his show that the Japan disaster was a "Message from God."
