Saga Communications Q2: radio revenues unchanged
Saga's net operating revenues for radio stayed right around $28.6 million for the quarter that ended June 30. Expenses were slightly higher and operating income dipped from $8.8 million to $8.6 million. Saga also operates TV stations, and the net revenue there improved from $4.2 million to better than $4.5 million. CEO Ed Christian points the spotlight at the company's free cash flow, which rose 10% to $6.3 million. On the downside, health insurance costs were up $285,000 for the first quarter and $775,000 year to date. The company closed on its new $120 million credit agreement on June 13 at what it feels are very favorable terms. Follow Saga stock ("SGA") here.
