Salt Lake's KSL replaces Sean Hannity with "The Browser"
The plan to dump syndicated talker Sean Hannity by KSL-AM/FM (1160 / 102.7) parent company Bonneville/Deseret Media stemmed from reasons centering on their company “code of conduct.” Hannity was quickly picked up by Clear Channel-owned competitor KNRS-FM (105.7) “Family Values Talk Radio.” KSL will now officially hand over early afternoons to Amy Iverson and Jay McFarland, who recently left KRLD-AM (1080) in Dallas to move to Salt Lake City. Their show will be called “The Browser,” and will focus on bringing “you the biggest stories as they break across the world wide web,” according to the KSL website. The Salt Lake Tribune reports their first show “fielded text messages sent to them and scoured the Web for buzzed-about stories, both local and national,” discussing a gamut of issues from the dismissal of Brigham Young University’s assistant football coach to the travel warnings for Europe to singer Katy Perry to bringing guns into bars. You can listen to KSL here.
