San Antonio's "KISS" cuts morning hosts Lisle & Hahn
After nearly 20 years of hosting mornings on CHR KISS-FM (99.5) in San Antonio, Cox Radio has parted ways with longtime morning hosts John Lisle & Steve Hahn. The legendary morning hosts began their run together in January, 1992. In an open letter posted on the station website, San Antonio Cox Media Group VP of Programming Virgil Thompson thanked Lisle and Hahn for their many years of service, and then asked listeners to think about the future, saying "We would like you to look at this as an opportunity to help us build a radio station that truly meets your needs. We want your opinion on what you would like to hear in a morning show on 99.5 KISS, what style or type of rock music you want to hear and how much of it we should play! We know you are passionate listeners and trust you will give us great feedback to use as we build an even better 99.5 KISS. No station is perfect…but we’d like to get as close as we can…and we think we can with your input." Kelley Kendall, who was also a part of the Lisle & Hahn show, will remain with KISS-FM in a yet-to-be-disclosed capacity. You can read the complete letter to listeners from Thompson here.
