San Antonio's new simulcast puts "Norteno" on FM
Border Media pulls its regional Mexican “El Compa” format off of KRIO-FM (104.1) and begins simulcasting the Norteno music-based full-service KSAH (720). In addition to the regional Mexican music, KSAH airs features such as “The Jobs Hour” and “The Flea Market on the Air.“ The FM is licensed to Pearsall, Texas coming in from far South of the market. Border Media says “Hispanics across San Antonio and South Texas will now have the opportunity to hear their favorite Norteno music on the FM dial.” The KSAH lineup includes 2009 Marconi-winning personality Albert Alegre. The San Antonio-Austin Board of Radio-Info is talking about the new simulcast, here.
